Marketing and Media Relations
With more than 20 years experience in media and marketing, Jan Sundberg Whitsitt brings an unusually deep knowledge of the business. A former television reporter, she is also a lawyer with experience in broadcast negotiations and contracts. Her marketing plan provided the groundwork for the commercial success of the 1990 Goodwill Games. As vice president of marketing and broadcasting for the Seattle Supersonics, she increased franchise sponsorship revenue by 500 percent.
Bob Whitsitt is also no stranger to media and marketing. Vice president of marketing for the NBA Kings franchise in the early 1980s, he has also served as president of Rose City Radio, Action Sports Media, the Action Sports Cable Network, Action Sports and Entertainment Mobile, and Blazers Airport Advertising. Bob also masterminded and sold the first-ever facility naming rights sponsorship in Sacramento to ARCO. This landmark sponsorship paved the way for stadiums and arenas around the world to find commercial naming rights sponsors, opening up an important new revenue stream for franchises and facilities.
Together Bob and Jan Whitsitt can help you devise a strategic vision for marketing and media relations that will provide the visibility and awareness your company needs to stand out from the competition.
